Day 1: What is Overflowing from My Life?

Read 2 Corinthians 8:1–9 in any translation  and then in the Message paraphrase.

Reflection Questions:

  • What should motivate our generosity? The Macedonian churches’ joyful, sacrificial giving was a response to God’s grace. How does that compare to my views?
  • What are ways God’s grace has flowed to my life?
  • How does (or should) the gospel (Jesus’ ultimate generosity) motivate my own giving?

 

Prayer Focus:

  • Thank God for His overflowing grace in your life.
  • Ask Him to cultivate a heartfelt response of joyful, sacrificial generosity.
  • Pray for LifeSpring to be united in generosity as a response to grace.

Day 2:  How Willing is My Heart?

Read  2 Corinthians 8:10–15 in any translation and then in the Message paraphrase.

Reflection Questions:

  • Am I giving willingly, or do I feel reluctant? Why is that, and what changes that?
  • How is God calling me to bridge the gap between my abundance and others’ need?
  • How can I align my giving with God’s vision for our world?

 

Prayer Focus:

  • Ask God to give you a willing heart to give joyfully and sacrificially.
  • Pray for clarity in how your giving can meet real needs.
  • Seek God’s vision for what He wants to accomplish through this Overflow journey.

Day 3:  How Can My Intentionality Be Inspirational?

Read  2 Corinthians 9:1-5 in any translation and then in the Message paraphrase.

Reflection Questions:

  • How intentional and prepared am I with my giving? How could I increase that?
  • In what ways can my giving be a testimony to others?
  • How can I help lead the way for others with willing, joyful generosity?

 

Prayer Focus:

  • Pray for a spirit of preparation—that you would plan and prioritize generosity.
  • Ask God to use your giving as a witness to inspire others.
  • Lift up LifeSpring leadership as they steward faithfully.

Day 4:  How Generously Will I Sow and Abundantly Will I Reap?

Read 2 Corinthians 9:6–11 in any translation and then in the Message paraphrase.

Reflection Questions:

  • Sowing refers to spreading seed like a farmer. What fears or hesitations keep me from sowing $ generously?
  • How have I experienced God’s provision when I have given in faith?
  • What step of faith is God asking me to take in my giving?

 

Prayer Focus:

  • Ask God to increase your faith as you take a step of generosity.
  • Pray for God’s provision and blessing over your church’s campaign.
  • Thank God for the resources He has entrusted and will entrust to you as you bless others.

Day 5:  What Will Overflow From Me to Others to God?

Read 2 Corinthians 9:12–15 in any translation and then in the Message paraphrase.

Reflection Questions:

  • How does my generosity reflect God’s indescribable gift of Jesus?
  • What lasting impact can my giving have?
  • How might God use my generosity to inspire praise in others here and in Kenya?

 

Prayer Focus:

  • Thank God for the privilege of giving and being part of His work.
  • Pray for hearts to be moved to commit generously in faith.
  • Ask that Overflow would result in overflowing thanksgiving to God.
