If you're wondering how to initiate the conversation with your mentor candidate(s), here are some suggestions on how to get started:

Hello _____, as we've been studying this discipleship stuff, I've thought about you. I know that I'd like to do more for Jesus and as I've thought about taking my next step, I see qualities in you that I would like to see grow in me. REMEMBER: The point of the process isn't to get it perfect, but to take the next step. God will guide this process if you put yourself into a position where He can use you and then listen for His leadership.
