Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome any hurt, hang-up, or habit (such as low self-esteem, need to control, depression, fear, anger, perfectionism, broken relationships, abuse, pornography, or dependency on alcohol/drugs).
The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to help us experience more of God’s hope, healing, and freedom in our lives. By working through the principles with others who can relate, we grow spiritually and are freed from what is weighing us down and holding us back.
Weekly meetings provide a safe place you can take off your “mask.” You decide when and how much you participate. Confidentiality and anonymity are strictly maintained.
The Food Pantry lives out the LifeSpring Community mission which is to join God in restoring a broken world. It does more than just hand out food to those in need; it partners with people for holistic help and healing in multiple aspects of life. Instead of counting how many people they help, they concentrate on helping people in need and being a part of God's process of restoration.
You can join this effort by volunteering on the Food Pantry team and/or by dropping off donations in the black lockers in the main entrance of Community Commons. For more info, contact Tammy Adams, Tadamsj5@gmail.com.
Caring tutors meet once a week, one-on-one, with students from Harrison Elementary during the school year. This is a partnership with City Gospel Mission, Legacy Christian Church and LifeSpring. For more information on how you can help improve the life of one child and have your life be changed in the process, contact Sherri Blum, email@example.com.
These are our community impact partners:
Connecting neighbors in need from the Southwest Local School District to appropriate help. In partnership with Christ's Loving Hands, LifeSpring hosts a food pantry on Monday nights at our Broadway Commons location. Beyond this opportunity, to help with fundraisers and canned food drives in the community, call 513-367-7748.
Pregnancy help to those in need, serving Harrison and the surrounding communities. Volunteers and Client Advocates minister to women, men and couples who have an unplanned pregnancy or are considering abortion. For more info or to volunteer, contact 513-367-7710.
Women of Alabaster is a nonprofit faith-based organization that desires to meet the needs of those caught in human trafficking by offering alternatives to a life on the streets. They fulfill their mission by developing relationships; gaining trust as an opportunity to offer support in “off the street” facilities, faith-based programs, life skills, and educational opportunities; and sharing and showing them the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. To learn more about WOA or ways to connect and serve contact John Calabrese at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This City, His City is a collaboration of local leaders from churches in the Harrison area, ministries, non-profits, and other organizations that have come together to make a positive impact on our community. We break down barriers that divide the Body of Christ and promote unity through monthly leader gatherings and annual ministry events. Leaders that focus on children's ministry or student ministry meet separately at times to discuss regional emphases. We believe there's a greater impact when we work together.
