Joining God in Restoring a Broken World

This is the grand story of the Bible. God’s heart is to restore brokenness at every level (spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, relational, and societal). Jesus said he came to bring hope, healing, and freedom (Luke 4:18-21). We will be a growing community of people who follow Jesus, are being changed by Him, and help others do the same. We will join God in restoring individuals, families, and communities here and around the world.
What We Do (our mission)
Make disciples who make disciples
This is the simple, compelling commission Jesus gave us as his followers (Matthew 28:18-20). We follow Christ’s example by sharing the gospel and our lives, by connecting people to truth and community, by equipping people to serve/minister, and by sending people out to make disciples.
In Matthew 4:19, Jesus said, “Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” Based on this verse, a disciple has been defined as:
. . . someone who follows Christ (“Come follow me”),
. . . is being changed by Him (“I will make you”),
. . . and leads others to do the same (“fishers of men”).
How We Do It (our core values)
- Grace: we need it, we give it
- Truth: God’s Word is the foundation
- Growth: God has so much more for us
- Family: “we” is always better than “me”
- Love: love God, love people
